I don't want to make a habit of posting poems, but this one, written in 1978, is also a kiddies' one in tune with Halloween...
Make haste thy flight
The Lord of Night
Has claimed the hour
From yonder tower
For Mother Earth
Has given birth
To foulest night
So in your plight
Do venture yonder
Where Devils ponder
To suck thy brains
And leave remains
To show to all
What does befall
On Foolish Folk
Who do provoke
The Beasts of Dark
To leave their mark
(Poem, Midnight 1978, Up to Bridge 40)
