The Guardia Civil in Salobreña have arrested a man, suspected of carrying out a burglary who had been caught in the act.

The 27-year-old man was nabbed thanks to a telephone tip-off received at the Guardia post saying that they had seen somebody entering an uninhabited house after scaling a wall.

Consequently, a patrol car was immediately sent to the address to prevent the person getting away. It was thanks to the description given by the caller that the police were able to identify the individual.

The suspect was carrying his booty from the said house when the police caught up with him; two suitcases and other items.

The stolen items, which belong to two different victims, were returned to them. The suspect is being held in custody waiting to appear before a magistrate to decide whether he is to be charged.
