The Policía Nacional have arrested seven adolescents in Málaga for repeatedly picking on a mentally challenged, fellow pupil at their school.
The teenagers used social media to insult and make fun of their victim, as well as threatening him with physical violence. It became so bad that the victim actually feared for his life.
This situation started back in 2021, according to the investigation carried out by the Grupo de Menores (Grume) belonging to the Brigada Provincial de La Policía Judicial. The investigation began after the legal guardians of the boy reported the online bullying to the police.
It was the latest bullying incident that ‘was the straw that broke the camel’s back,’ because the victim actually feared that they were going to kill him.
According the the Section Head of the investigating department, the seven culprits created a Whatsapp group and included the victim in it with the sole intention of humiliating him.
The seven arrested suspects were brought before a minor’s magistrate (Fiscalía de Menores de Málaga), who ordered their release facing charges.
