A police patrol noticed a group of irate people chasing after a man in Estepona near the beach, so they investigated.

They stopped the fleeing man and asked him and the crowd what it was all about and the officers were told that he had been allegedly videoing nude young children using the beach showers.

The officers examined his phone on the spot and effectively, there were plenty of the said images so they promptly arrested him.

This took place on the 23rd of August around 20.30h in the evening. It appears that the 45-year-old man took advantage of the fact that the children’s parents were undressing them in order to get the sand off them.

On further inspection of the mobile phone, forensic officers found similar videos, so he had not only been active on that day. Furthermore, they obtained a warrant to search the hotel room where the man was staying and confiscated a laptop computer and external hard discs.

Four families very soon came forward to make a formal complaint the Policía Nacional police station.
