We went round to Benjamin at Salobreña's watering hole, Restaurante Sirocco, and discovered why he's not opening from 12 in the afternoon.

The answer is that on weekdays he doesn’t open at midday, for a very logical reason; everybody’s down on the beach, so Monday to Friday he doesn’t open before 20.00h, until late.

Weekends, however, it’s a different matter as he’s open from 12 noon until late. These opening times will run for the rest of the month.
