A woman in a wheelchair was knocked down by a man in his 30s on a motorbike in the centre of the city of Granada

The 42-year-old woman was using a crossing near Nº 115, Camino de Ronda in Granada around ten in the morning yesterday when the accident occurred.

The Local Police and an ambulance were soon at the scene, taking the 37-year-old bike rider to Hospital de Trauma. Amazingly, the woman in the wheelchair had no injuries that required her being hospitalised.

It appears, however, that the woman had tried to cross when the crossing lights were in red. The rider, who was not speeding, was unable to avoid hitting her.
