Personnel from Salvamento Marítimo had to help a snorkel diver who had suffered cramp but managed to keep afloat not far from the entrance to Motril Port.
This happened on Saturday the 29th of last month.
According to Salvamento, somebody had seen that the man was having problems and had raised the alarm and remained within calling distance to the diver until help came.
Salvamiento sent the rescue launch SAR Mastelero, which then took him to Playa Granada, where he had entered the water earlier in the day.
Salvamento Marítimo reminds the thousands of people who flock to the beach everyday in summer that the sea is a hostile element therefore it should be treated always with caution.
