The Local Board for Equality, belonging to Salobreña Town Hall, led the March with a banner stating "All Women, All Rights, Everyday" during the IV Marcha por La Igualdad.
Apart from the Mayor, M.ª Eugenia Rufino and members of her cabinet, the march participants came from the local schools, as well as members of the different police forces present in the town.
The March, of course, was in honour of the International Women’s Day (8th of March) although different related events have been carried out as part of the celebration.
The March started off from the Plaza del Colegio Segalvina and proceded along Calle del Colegio Mayor Zaragoza, passing through the Plaza de la Pontanilla, along Calle Antonio Machado and arrived at the Town Hall Square, where there was a performance put on by Batukada Bembé, who had accompanied the March.
