Salobreña Back Lane

If you use the narrow lane leading from the Salobreña trading estate to Lobres you will have noticed that they're working , cutting back the vegetation.

SAL Back Lane WideningThe work being done on the lane, called, Cañon, includes widening it in places, which is a relief to anybdy who takes that trip and has come up against a lorry coming the other way, leaving you no other option than to back up to a passing place.

The Councillor for Public Works, María José García, explained that they are using PFEA 2021, also known as “somebody else’s money.” This funding has allowed the Town Hall to employ 70 labourers with 15 days’ work each one, and three overseers who have a 3-month contract.

The whole thing has a budget of 179,000 euros, of which 5,400 euros was provided by the Town Hall.
