The children's beach-activities organisers, Activ8You held their annual sandcastle-building competition on La Herradura Beach on Saturday, which went down well.

Also available for the participants was a large, bouncy castle, as well as kayak and paddleboards, so there was plenty to keep the little people happy and entertained.

The event concluded with award givings when trophies were handed over to the ‘builders’ of the best and most imaginative sandcastles, complete with moats fed by buckets of water.

The First Prize went to building team of Elena, Candela & Daniela, and the joint project of Marta & Manuela came away with the Third Prize – see photo.
