On Wednesday the 18th of May the International Club of Salobreña have an excursion to Benalmádena.

Leaving from Salobreña by coach at 09.00h, with a pick up at the Almuñecar Bus Station, the coach will first call at around 11.00h at the Teleférico for a trip to the top of Mount Calamorro by cable car.

Everybody will have a couple of hours to enjoy the ascent, the stunning views at the summit, before returning to the base station.

Next, at around 13.15h, the coach will drop everyone off at Puerta Marina with a couple of hours to grab a spot of lunch, shopping or a drink and some people watching.

At 16.00h there is our last port of call for the day… the Benalmádena Butterfly House, with plenty of time to enjoy the relaxing, climate-controlled ecosystem for around 1,500 incredible species of butterflies and moths. Finishing our visit there at 18.30h, we return home and get back to Salobreña by around 20.00h.

This trip is open to both members and non-members of the International Club. The cost for non-members is €50, which includes the return trip on the Teleférico and entrance to the Butterfly House. There are concessions for anyone over 65 of €5 and a further €5 reduction for club members.

If anyone has a problem with heights or winged creatures (however beautiful!) both the Teleférico and the Butterfly House are optional (saving up to €19 on the ticket price!), There are a number of other things to see or do close by to both attractions that could be enjoyed instead.
