The first thing to mention is that 19 out of the 44 municipalities have not had one case of Covid in the last 14 days, which is really good news.
Down on the coast Almuñécar remains in the 300s with 91 cases in the last fortnight. Motril is in the 500s with 329 cases in the same period. Salobreña is just under 400 with 49 cases. Finally, Torrenueva Costa is just over 300 with nine cases.
Up in the Alpujarra Granadina, the capital of the comarca, Órgiva, is just below 240 with 19 cases.
The provincial average with its combined population of 921,338, stands at 414.3 owing to a total of 3,817 cases.
Unless there is a complete change in these rapidly improving figures, next week will be the last one that we run the numbers on.
