The concert in Motril with Plácido Domingo on the 26th of Mach is going ahead and is gathering speed, promising to be the flagship of cultural events for this year.
This world-famous tenor will perform with the soprano, Mariola Cantarero backed by the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra to mark the 140th anniversary of the Teatro Calderón de la Barca.
Ironically, perhaps, the event to celebrate the municipal theatre house is not being held there, but in the Plaza de Toros.
The Councillor for Culture, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, wished to express his gratitude towards Sr. Domingo for his “kind interest for this project to celebrate the 140th anniversary.
You can purchase tickets stating from the 28th of January between Thursday and Friday starting at 00.01h. This can be done via www.culturamotril.es and www.placidodomingomotril.es, as well as at the ticket office at the theatre itself.

I must say it looks as the sooner you book more chance of getting tickets. The layout of the seating at the bullring was practically all taken.

Hi, Sandra: According to the press release, you cannot obtain them until 00.01h on Thursday Morning, the 28th of February until end Friday – perhaps the bullring is being opened especially for this purpose on those two day. However, it would probably be easier to do it online.
Martin are the seats for Placido Domingo at the bullring only on sale 28th Feb.
