You have to be well drunk to mistake an underground tram station for a normal road, but a man did just that, with a little help from a friend (in a bottle).
According to the Policía Local in the city of Granada they received a call around 01.00h yesterday morning from a private security company, informing them about a car that was circulating along a tram route, even when the line went underground.
Fortunately, the metro system had closed down for the night an hour earlier. The driver had ended up in the Campus de Fuente Nueva.
When the police managed to intercept and breathalyse the 36-year-old driver, he gave a reading of 0.93 mg/l, in other words, if he breathed on you, it could melt our face.
The driver had driven along the tram lane on Calle Andrés Segovia, entering a tunnel on Avenida de América and then appeared on the said university campus. It was the private security guard on duty at the university who had alerted the Policía Local
