Man Attacked by Dogs?

There seems to have been an incident within one of the urbanizaciones behind the Marina de Este, involving four dogs and a male victim.

LHR Marina del Este Aerial ShotThis incident hasn’t emerged yet in the standard press; i.e. the provincial daily, etc, although it could be making the rounds on social media, especially whatsapp groups.

Allegedly, the four dogs belong to residents within the said urbanización and according to some neighbours, these dogs, which appear to be categorised as dangerous breeds, have reportedly been out without muzzles or on a lead.

The victim was set upon and suffered multiple bite wounds on his hands and other parts of the body – he was treated for his injuries at Hospital Santa Ana in Motril.

The attack was reported to the Guardia Civil who are presently investigating the incident.

Thank you both for your responses and confirmation. We evidently have to use terms like “allegedly” and “reportedly” and “according to” for legal reasons but I personally had not the slightest doubt that the accounts we heard were true.

This is a true account. As of yesterday the dogs were I believe still at the house. People there are living in fear to go out of their homes, This should not happen on an Urbanisation where you should feel safe and protected from this sort of thing. The dogs should have been taken away before they can do more damage. It is a disgrace that it happened in the first place and must be dealt with so it can never happen again.

I live here and overall the story is true. The two families live door to door and neither is Spanish. The victim had very serious bites on the arm and two severely damaged fingers and on the thigh. There is a complaint but why are the four dogs (and a puppy) still in the house. SEPRONA must take them into custody for now as we live in fear.
