The Satanic Mayor

A group of ultra-Catholics protested in Granada, calling for the resignation of the Mayor because they consider him "satanic."

GRA Ultra Catholics against Satanic MayorWhilst this group of what could be considered Christian Taliban gathered in Plaza del Carmen, calling for the political assassination of Mayor Francisco Cuenca, there was a much more numerous gathering taking place in the city, protesting against the murder of a woman called Lorena at the hands of her Ex, because she had dared to seek legal separation from him.

So why do our fanatical, ultra-Catholics consider that the Mayor is the devil incarnate? Because, they say, that there are upside-down crucifixes within the Christmas decorations…

The irate, religious fanatics were also angry with the Archbishop of Granada, whom they consider to be a “traitor” for having “consented to this aberration;” i.e., the heretical decorations.

At the end of their protest there was a bit of tension because a couple of their number had decided to chase the Mayor shouting “coward.” The Chief of Police, who was accompanying the Mayor, called upon the ladies to remain calm and wished them a splendid day.

They finally left for their homes, bearing crucifixes and other religious symbols that professed their faith, singing a Christmas Carol and ending with the Lords Prayer.

Naturally, the councillors for the extreme-right party, Vox, were present, bless their cotton socks.

The majority of the ultra-Catholics respected the minute’s silence in memory of the murdered woman, although some did shout, “fuera!” A policeman present at the homage to Lorena asked them to respect the memory of the murdered woman, so they desisted.

Editorial comment: over in Italy a Bishop is getting flak for telling children that Santa doesn’t exist and that there was a need to “distinguish what is real from what is not.” How’s that for irony?

  1. Martin says:

Excellent input – thank you, Paul.

  2. Paul CRADDOCK says:

It is a pity that these so called Christians do not even know their own religion. There is nothing satanic about the up-side-down cross. It is known as the St. Peters Cross. Peter requested that his cross be upside down, as he felt unworthy of being crucified in the same manner as Jesus.

The Petrine Cross is also associated with the papacy, reflecting the Catholic belief that the Pope is the successor of Peter as Bishop of Rome.

    So, ultra-Catholics are now anti-Pope?
