Tomorrow in the Plenary Meeting of the Town Council the Mayor will present the bidding documents for the new municipal-market building with its subterranean parking.
The ruling coalition, PP, Más Almuñécar and Ciudadanos, consider that the conditions contained within the documents possess all the administrative and legal guarantees.
Once approved, they will be published during a period of 26 days on the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, after which the bids received will be examined by the Mesa de Contratación so that the works contract can be awarded.
The new municipal market will have 40 stalls for the sale of fresh products and several premises for leisure & restaurant establishments.
The will also be an area for the sale of flowers – readers will remember that flower sellers had a corner in the old market, within the precinct walls. As for the underground parking, there will be space for 200 vehicles.
The project will cost 5.8m euros and will take 14 months to build once construction begins.
