The Almuñécar branch for Convergencia Andaluza has expressed bitter criticism over the lack of fundings for Rules Dam in the 2022 National Budget.
The CA, led by Juan Carlos Benavides Yaguas, expressed “deception and indignation” upon learning that no money has been earmarked within the 2022 Budget for connecting the dam to the coast via a distribution network.
“Not one Euro for the projects; not for commencing the distribution work, not from the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica nor from public entities such as ACUAMED nor ACUAES,” read the communiqué, adding, “It is as if we didn’t exist.”
“Both the Central Government and the Junta de Andalucia are ignoring our needs for our campo and all we get are broken promises,” expressed the CA.
They said that their only alternative was to carry on with the protest marches in order to obtain the Rules water-distribution system.
