Two people had to be rushed to hospital after a nasty accident early yesterday afternoon along the western entrance into Motril.
It was around 15.00h when the 112 emergency number received a call to alert them to an accident in the area known as El Candelón. Two vehicles had collided resulting in one of them turning over and ending up on its roof.
The Motril fire service was immediately directed to the scene of the accident,as well as an ambulance, Policía Local and a road-maintenance crew.
This entrance had to remain closed to traffic until the vehicle could be removed and the road surface cleared of debris.
The two victims were a 36-year-old man and a woman who’s of an undisclosed age. Both were taken to Hospital Santa Ana. Their injuries have not been disclosed, either, at the time of the writing of this article (Sunday evening).
