La Herradura is holding its II Premio de Fotografía Mi pequeño Paraiso, which is open to all but you’ve only got until the 6th to enter your work.
Actually, the full title is Mi pequeño paraiso Nino Rodríguez and the object behind the photo competition is “to highlight the wealth of touristic value that the village has to offer the photographs of its surroundings and cultural heritage, ” explained First Councillor, Juan José Ruiz Joya.
The subject of the photographs can be its people, its cuisine, its customs and fiestas. The photographs themselves should be in colour or monocrome (b/w) and must not have been selected as prize winners in other photo competitions.
You can present more than one photograph as collection between three and five individual shots, which can be also be of different topics.
Plagarims will not be accepted or are susceptible to complaints concerning their originality. They must not be altered electronically, which include photomontages.
Photographs must be submitted in digital format (CD/Pendrive or something similar) as high-resolution JPEGs or TIFFs, sized 1,024 x 1,024 pixels with a maximum weight of five megabytes.
Competitors must hand over an evelope containing the CD/DVD/Pendrive with a fully filled out form. The First Prize is 700 euros, the Second Prize 200 euros and the Third Prize 100 euros.
You have until the 6th of August to hand it personally in at the Centro Cívico in La Herradura, between 09:30h and 14.00h a 14:00h. Competitors must be 18 or over.
