FP Marina Project 02The Motril Port Authority has commissioned the Granada University to draw up the administrative specifiations for the new Marina/fishing area of the Port.

The P.A. hopes to have them ready in six to nine months to that the construction contract can be put up for bidding. The project will have a nine-birth marina with sufficient waterway, as well as “substantially enlarging” the existing docking space.

Furthermore, with the new dock area for the fishing sector and the marina berthing the port will have the fully integrated usage of a modern port.

The Chairman of the Port Authority, José Garcia Fuentes, explained that the port work would be carried out in stages with a budget of 45m euros and that there were several national and international investement groups interested.
