A Bit of A Give Away!

SPN Bank Note Forger DC20A minor was arrested for the forgery and sale of Euro notes via internet. He had announced on a social-media platform. “I’m selling forged banknotes.”

Whilst the sales campaign might not have been very clever, the quality of the forged notes was excellent and very difficult to distinguish from the genuine thing, according to the Centro Nacional de Análisis del Banco de España.

Based in Barcelona, he had sold his ‘wares’ (10, 20 & 50-euro notes) all over Spain, as well as the UK and Portugal.

The police operation carried out by the Policía Nacional began in October when they came across his candid business promotion on his profile, which had over 20,000 followers.

Not content with printing forgeries and selling them, he also did courses on how to print them yourself…. he’ll go a long way this lad! well, after taking a short cut to prison, that is.

The police obtained a warrant and searched his parents’ house where he lives, finding such material as holographs. Unfortunately for his ‘customers’ he also kept a detailed account of their names and goods despatched.
