La Herradura’s Puerto Deportivo Marina del Este is one of the marinas with most Blue Flag Awards, as this year they have done it yet again.

In fact, 2020 is the 26th year that the marina has won this award, which reflects the quality of the marina’s installations and its management of the environment.

The act of raising the flag was carried out by the Councillor for the Environment, Luis Aragón, and the Managing Director of Marina del Este, Manuel Raigón, as well as the Director of Operations for the Grupo Marinas del Mediterráneo, Alejandro Suanes – the marina is part of this marina group.

Finally, the organisations that award the Blue Flag distinction is the European Foundation for Environmental Education and the Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor (Adeac), which have been running the distinction for over 30 years.
