Nerja Flea Market Reopens

NRJ Flea MarketNerja’s very popular flea market is operating again, on a reduced scale, but open, none the less.

If you’re reading this over this side of the border in Granada, for the moment it is out of your reach, but for our readers in the Axarquía, this Sunday is a date to put in your diary.

The Sunday market, run by the Club de Leones, is set up in Urbanización Almijara, with normally around 200 stalls selling all kinds of 2nd-hand items, making it one of the most popular ones in the Axarquía.

This Sunday, of course, there will be far fewer stalls; around 50 because it can only operate at 25% capacity, explained the Councillor for Commerce, Javier López (PP).

The Sunday flea market (rastrillo) runs from 09.00h to 14.00h horas. As for the Tuesday street market (mercadillo) the Town Hall and the traders agreed not to hold any until the province reaches Stage Three, at least.
