Obligatory Masks on Buses

MOT Bus at bus stopStarting day, as mentioned in a previous article, the wearing of surgical masks on public transport is obligatory. So if you are catching a bus down to town, bear that in mind.

Although down on Costa Tropical the only public transport you can catch is a bus at the moment, it should be remembered that this measure is obligatory on trains, trams, flight and ferries, etc.

For this reason, in Almuñécar and Motril 14,000 masks will be supplied (for no cost) to passengers waiting to board. Protección Civil in Motril will distribute 9,000 of these masks whilst the Policía Local and volunteers will hand out 5,000 in Almuñécar.

As far as Salobreña goes, the Town Hall acquired 7,200 masks which will also be distributed amongst its residents.

This question has been answered on a previous article, I believe, but the answer is when Stage One comes into force, which is foreseeably the 11th of May.

This depends on two things, however: they are from the same home; i.e., have been confined together during the Lock Down; that is to say the same family. Secondly, no province of Spain automatically reaches Stage One on the 11th – it has to ‘pass an exam’ on the contagion rate and the capacity of its health facilities (hospitals).
