There is one very relieved, Italian sports-car owner thanks to the Guardia Civil preventing it from leaving Spain via Motril Port after having been stolen.
A 33-year-old Italian man was arrested for attempting to smuggle a stolen vehicle to Morocco via the Motril ferry. This incident took place on the 10th of this month at a boarding checkpoint for the Nador ferry, Villa de Teror.
The police became suspicious after examining the car’s paperwork, so they cross-checked them with the European database for stolen vehicles. The result was that the car had been stolen two days earlier in Italy.
The car has been impounded pending the arrival of the car owner to collect it. The arrested man, on the other hand, is being held in custody.
