ALM Wildlife SignpostedThe Department of the Environment at the Almuñécar Town Hall has been out signposting protected wildlife areas around the municipality.

This has been done in collaboration with the Junta in order to heighten awareness of the flora and fauna that cohabit in these protected areas.

“The objective of this signposting [information boards] is to protect our endemic species in these areas: Punta de la Mona, Peñón del Vapor, playa de El Muerto or the Barranco de En medio, amongst other spots where species such as the ribbed Mediterranean limpet, the Kentish plover and wild flora inhabit,” explained the project coordinator, Sr. Ferrón.
