Who would have thought that spooks could be vandals, but this is the only conclusion after a Halloween rampage in Salobreña.
It wasn’t until the following morning that their destructive results were discovered, amongst other things, a telephone cabin with its glass smashed out.
But it wasn’t just street furniture but also wing mirrors and side window of parked cars. Refuse collection bins were also targeted with a special bin for used clothes being toppled over.
The Town Hall also suffered damage outside where large planters were upturned on the steps.
Consequently, the Policía Local have opened an investigation into the damage along Avenida García Lorca, Avenida del Mediterráneo and Calle Sol. Actually, the police said that they tried to identify some youths but “owing to their disguises, they got away.”
Editorial note: The municipal police release mentions Calle Sol, but there doesn’t appear to be one, other than the one on Monte de los Almendros.
