The First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, has pledged to provide a temporary launching ramp on La Herradura Beach.

The beach used to have one, which had been built by Costas, but this very same ministerial department also semi-demolished it about two years ago, leaving it unusable, bless their cotton socks. Since then anybody who has wanted to launch a small boat has been pretty much stumped.

A group of disgruntled locals gathered to demand a solution, which is what the Town Hall has just promised to do; i.e. provide an alternative structure whilst it has a paper-shuffling fight with the provincial office of Costas.
