A fire is being tackled at the moment in the area of the hamlet, Gelibia.

Infoca was called out at 14.15h and with minutes the assessment and control aircraft had arrived from La Resinera base near Jayena.

Shortly afterwards a heavy helicopter with an underslung bambi (canvas bag) followed. And then around 15.00h a Resinera-based, fire truck passed through Otívar on its way to the coast.

The air units were joined by a personnel helicopter from Tablones near Órgiva around 15.30h.

At the moment of writing 23 fire fighters had been deployed and the amount of smoke visible has been reduced considerably.
