From this coming weekend on the Playa Cantarriján a shuttle service will be operative until the beginning of September.

Anybody who wants to use the beach and doesn’t want to walk all the way down and back up again can use this bus service, operating from the N-340.

This service, which is organised by the Environmental Department of the Junta de Andalucía, first came into service in 2008, transporting around 30,000 passengers each summer in recent years.

As for the bus company that has the contract, for the 5th consecutive year, it is the Almuñécar company Gonzamatis.

There return ticket costs two euros – there is no single-ticket fare – and the service runs between 09.00h and 21.00h.

Obviously, there is a parking area beside the N-340 where you can leave your car in order to catch the bus, which is free.
