The Almuñécar fire service was called out to deal with putting out a fire in a palm-tree plantation in the Río Seco area.

The fire, which consumed about two hectares, also affected bamboo cane in the Barranco La Campana.

The fire crew was tied up around five hours dealing with the fire, whose cause is being investigated.
