Motril Rubbish Strike Is On

MOT RubbishAfter talks between the ex-Limdeco workers and the Town Hall broke down on Monday, it now seems certain that the rubbish-collection strike will go ahead.

The talks went on for over four hours with the Mayor, Flor Almón, heading the negotiations with union leader, Juan Francisco Martín.

According to Sr. Martín, the two sides managed to close the gap on certain points, but there was no budging over the pay-scale sticking point.

Consequently, the strike will go ahead just six day before the start of Semana Santa…
