The Provisional Delegate for Tourism in Granada apologised for having called the representatives from the Costa Tropical “bumpkins.”
The rumpus was over the lack of photos of the coast within the provincial stand at the national tourism fair in Madrid, FITUR.
The fact is that there was a 21 sq/m photo inside the stand, but nothing on the facade, where there were three photos on display of the rest of the province.
The repentant representative, Enrique Medina (PSOE), said that on other years the coast was on the facade too but they had felt that other areas of the province deserved a bit of exposure.
Editorial comment: the coast has always been forgotten outside the summer, which is when people from the city of Granada, only remember that they have a coastline to enjoy.
