The Chairman for the Asociación de Amigos de la Playa Nudista de Cantarriján has criticised a video on social media, namely Facebook.
Chairman Jesús Segarra was referring to a video taken from a boat just off the beach for nudists, which is illegal. But if that were not enough, the footage is accompanied by insults and comments making fun of the nudists.
There is also the legality involved of a motorised craft approaching so close to the beach, more so with the beach belonging to part of a marine park, protected area.
The video appears to been have taken on the 1st of July 2017.
The right to practice nudism is permitted under the Derecho a la libertad ideológica and is recognised by the European Human Rights Tribunal.
The chairman complains that this video, which could result in legal action, is just the tip of an iceberg, as there are almost daily occurrences of boats just off the beach with people on board using binoculars – “It’s like being observed in a zoo,” he said.
Finally he calls on the Mancomunidad to have buoys and access channels installed, the same as on other beaches in the municipality of Almuñécar.
