There’s a young, blonde, blue-eyed actress/model called Patricia Montero, who looks as Spanish as I look English, and she loves La Herradura.

This well known actress received a tourism-promotional prize in Madrid from the hands of Almuñécar Mayor, Trinidad Herrera, during the international tourism fair (FITUR) last month.

Patricia said that many milestones in her life have taken place in La Herradura, such as the final stages of her pregnancy, as well as being where her husband proposed to her, for example, adding, “the sunrises and sunsets on the coast are unlike any other.”

She explained that she found out about the existence of the village on social media and local, fashion designer, Lilian Urquieta, who has since become a close friend.

“I’m from Valencia and my partner is from Mallorca and we both love the coast and everything about it,” she confessed, explaining the attraction that La Herradura holds.
