The Vélez Town Hall had fixed this Monday for the eviction and demolition of two dwellings that had been built on rural land near Los Puertas.

However the previous Friday the 12th a law court passed a sentence to suspend this action because amongst those to be evicted were three minors.

The original demolition had been ordered for these semidetached dwellings in the Cortijada de Mano Hierro back in 2012 because they had been built on secano land (2004) without any kind of permission.

The construction has 300 sq/m on two floors and both dwellings are occuppied by sisters who live with their respective families there.

Social services have five days to evaluate how the situation will affect the minors and to report back to the judge so that he can decide on how to proceed because the demolition order issued in 2012 is final and there can be not legal appeal.
