A man in Motril was arrested by the Policía Nacional after allegedly stabbing a neighbour several times over an excessive-noise dispute.

According to a police source, the incident was reported on Saturday the 14th at 18.30h, when Hospital Santa Ana reported that they were treating a man with knife wounds to the back and one deep wound to the right side of the victim’s neck.

The victim, the hospital informed, said that he had been attacked his neighbour when questioned by the hospital staff.

The dispute had taken place on Calle San Antonio and when the police got there to arrest the alleged assailant, they could only locate his brother. However, later in the day the suspect walked into the police station where his rights were read to him and his statement taken prior to being remanded in custody.
