The Guardia Civil in Osuna (Sevilla) arrested four people, charged with attempting to sell a 14-year-old Romanian girl, along with a van.
The girl, who was sold by her parents for 5,000 euros, are two of the four people arrested are the man that bought the girl, a Romanian living in Lucena del Puerto (Huelva) and the buyer’s son.
The said adult son was intercepted on route to Romania in Obrezje, which is on the Slovenian border.
The parents and the purchaser stand accused of human trafficking whilst the son is not only charged with that, but also with sexually abusing a minor, and coercing a minor to leave home.
The whole affair came to light on the 19th of April when the minor was reported missing by several witnesses, leading the Guardia Civil to suspect that she had been sold by her parents.
