Endesa Pulls Up Its Socks

ALM Endesa Street Work OnLThe electricity company, Endesa has announced that it is going to invest 257,000 euros on its Almuñécar infrastructure in order to avoid blackouts like last summer.

So far it has spent, their press release states, 127,000 on street lighting infrastructure in the town centre and foresees another 130,000 euros in the coming months in a general improvements around the town.

This spending and cable replacements are fruit of a meeting between area company representatives and the Mayor of Almuñécar where she basically told them that she would have their guts for garters if there was another power cut during the days of maximum tourist presence.
