At a recent Plenary Meeting of the Salobreña Town Council a motion was passed to petition the Central Government on the final stage of the paseo work.

Ever since the storm damage of 2015 the paseo has had repair work carried out on it, but even today the paseo is far from finished.

For this reason Salobreña has sent the request to the Ministry of the Environment for it to provide detailed technical project setting out exactly what work needs to be carried out to complete the final section of the paseo; i.e., from Salomar 2000 to the mouth of the river.

Editorial comment: It should be remembered that the Central Government through its Costas provincial office promised that the work near Salomar 2000 would be completed by Semana Santa, and once again, Costas has fallen down on a pledge. The work has not been completed in time because quite simply, they haven’t even started.
