The Nerja Día del Residente was held on Sunday 2nd April in the Plaza de España – which is just behind the town-hall building – and enjoyed a good turnout.
The foreign community fielded 34 stalls; representing clubs, associations, nationalities and even businesses.
According to the municipal records, Nerja has a total population of 21,986 residents, nearly 6,000 of whom are foreign residents, representing 27% of the population.
Of those, 5,970 foreign residents, 2,173 are British, representing 36% of the foreign community and therefore the largest national figure.
