The Policía Nacional in Motril arrested three people and confiscated cocaine and nearly 300 cannabis plants in the Barrio de Huerta Carrasco.

In an early-morning raid the police entered several dwellings and found the cannabis plants distributed among several ground-floor apartments.

Around a hundred of the plants were being dried whilst another 162 were near maturity.

Also confiscated were 17,000 euros in cash, as well as precision weighing scales.

Barrio de Huerta Carrasco is a low-income, conflictive area situated in the north of the town.
