The 2016 tourism figures are out for Salobreña and show that there were just over 25,000 visitors to the town during last year.
The figures, which come from the Tourism Information Office in Plaza Goya and the one installed on the beach during the summer period, reflect that 59% were Spaniards and 41% were foreigners.
As for the foreign visitors, the majority were Brits, followed by Germans and French people in that order. There was also a notable increase of visitors from Sweden and Denmark.
Finally, there was also a 2% increase in the number of online inquiries, giving the number of visitors to the official website at 70,876, 78% of whom were from Spain and the rest from abroad.
