Chiringuito Bambú won La Herradura’s I Ruta de la Tortilla, receiving the Best Omelette, Best Service and Most Original awards.

Heady stuff!

The First Councillor for the village, Juan José, ‘Many-Hats,’ Ruiz handed over the awards to the chiringuito‘s onwer, Darío de Haro, its chef, Álvaro Jiménez and its waiter, Juan Pablo López.

The councillor explained how the object of the competition was to make the hostelry sector more dynamic whilst ‘paying homage’ to one of the most emblematic dishes in Spanish cuisine.

Well, best I go lie down as the excitement of writing this one has been exacting, indeed.
