Almuñécar Streets Finished

alm-calle-livry-gargan-onlTwo streets in Almuñécar that have been undergoing work have now been reopened: Calle Livry Gargán and Calle Málaga.

Calle Livry Gargán, which was where the old post office used to be, has been and closed off for six weeks, whilst the rain drainage was sorted out. This was the last street in that area to undergo these infrastructure changes.

Calle Málaga was also dug up in order to lay a separate rain-drainage system – that’s the one connecting Plaza Madrid to Avenida Don Juan Carlos I. New telecommunications lines were also laid before being filled back in and covered with a new style of paving.

A total of 48.409 euros was spent on the two projects, which was provided by the Mancomunidad, or better said, by an extra charge-cum-tax added to water bills.
