Foreigners Caught with Drugs

gra-brit-drug-bust-onlA Dutchman and a British man were arrested in Órgiva by the Guardia Civil for allegedly trafficking drugs.

The police had intercepted their car and found 87 tablets, whose contents were found to be ecstasy, methamphetamines and amphetamines.

A later, more thorough, search of the car turned up another 101 tablets of the same kind, in a hidden compartment within the boot. Furthermore inside the door panel a set of precision scales were found plus a book containing records.

But the searches didn’t stop there because soon after the police obtained a warrant and searched their homes in Órgiva. This time a packaging machine turned up, traces of drug manipulation and more documents allegedly related to drug trading.

Obviously, the quantity of drugs found far surpassed an amount that could be considered as for self consumption.
