Motril’s municipal police have arrested a man for attacking another in the middle of the street with a pair of scissors, leaving him badly injured.

The victim was rushed to Hospital Santa Ana where his conditions is described as serious.

As for the alleged assailant, after throwing the scissors into a nearby hopper, he fled, accompanied by his girlfriend.

The Town Hall press release can be described as scanty at best as no other information is available as to the ages of those involved, exactly where it happened or how the police managed to locate and arrest the suspect.

We do, however, have a completely unrelated photo of the force’s patrol cars, thoughtfully attached to the press release.
