Don’t forget that the big firework display in Motril is on Tuesday the 16th – the day following the Almuñécar one – a double, Costa-firework whammy!

Just make sure that you’re down on Playa de Poniente in Motril, well before 23.00h, which is when it begins.

Don’t bother to take a car, as you won’t find anywhere to park. However, the Town Hall has been laying on a special bus service during the whole of the fiestas, leaving everyday at 20.00h and returning in the early hours, normally 04.00h. This weekend, however, it returns at 06.00h. Careful because on Monday the 15th, which is the last day of the fair, it comes back at 02.00h. Price, one euro.

This services leaves Avenida de la Constitución, (next to the Oficina de Turismo and will take you to the fairground. Although the official press release does not stipulate with what frequency they will run, it can only be imagined that it will be frequent both because of the number of people requiring the service and the short distance that it has to cover.

On the 16th there will be a bus leaving for Playa de Poniente from Las Explanadas for the firework display at 21.00h and coming back at 02.00h for just one euro, as well.
