Sunday the 3rd will be the last day that the Salobreña municipal market will be open before closing temporarily for renovations.
Building work begins the following Monday, and although there are promised completion dates, the stall holders, who will be out of a job until then, are nervous that the the deadlines won’t be met.
The time lines are that the market will be shut during the whole of the month of April, and if work does indeed continue into May, it will be on the basement level and will not prevent the stalls on the ground floor reopening.
